[edit] music of grey's?

I think this article has expanded way beyond the "soundtrack" scope. There have been 2 soundtracks, but obviously they don't cover every episode. I'm thinking about a new article called "Music of Grey's Anatomy". Does anyone agree? Dj stone 16:32, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Or what about leaving this, and making a new article called Music of Grey's Anatomy? Is there a way to split the history? Dj stone 17:56, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
Wouldn't it be better just to move each of the track lists for each episode to the episode's summary (example)? If you make a page just for "Music of Grey's Anatomy", then you have two separate lists of episodes: one for the summaries, and then one for the music. This way, all the info is found with the episode in one convenient package. --Wolf530 (talk) 01:54, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
I see your point in keeping it all organized...but I think that the show's music has become so popular that people might want to come to a page devoted to the songs played in each episode. I just don't think it belongs in the "soundtrack" article... Dj stone 05:23, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
I think that would be fine if there was content besides the music lists to put there. But as of right now, all we have are lists. So moving these lists to the episode summary pages would be more fruitful for searchers. If you think that people are looking to see "a page devoted to the songs played in each episode," then I would assume that would be more of an article which explains the sources on which this music is drawn, and so-forth. Being that we don't have any of that right now, and I'm not even sure that there's really enough to constitute a page like that, my vote is to move the track lists to the episode summaries. --Wolf530 (talk) 22:46, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
I've made a "new" version of the Season 3 episode list to show what it would look like if we merged in the list of music from each episode. See: Grey's Anatomy episodes (Season 3)/new. --Wolf530 (talk) 01:01, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
I think I like the idea. A few times, I've found myself bouncing back and forth between music and episode lists trying to figure out when the song was played. Anyone else? Dj stone 15:14, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
I recently saw a video and was sure I heard the song on Grey's. I came here and after a bit of research was able to find what I was looking for. Keep this up! I am sure I am not the only one who wants to research the Grey's music. The episode guide is great because I remember some of the songs based on what happened in that episode.Starlyte428 23:57, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
I've gone ahead and done the overhaul on Grey's Anatomy episodes (Season 3). I will work on the rest, as well. Once they're done, I'll fix this page to just show music from the actual soundtracks, and create some kind of disambig notice pointing to the article pages. --Wolf530 (talk) 19:47, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
I've done the changeover for all three seasons and subsequently removed the full tracklist from this article. As discussed above, you can now find the full list of tracks from each episode by viewing the full episode summary. Click on an episode title name on the List of Grey's Anatomy episodes to read that episode's full summary. --Wolf530 (talk) 20:32, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
It looks great. I just changed the notes to point to the specific season. Thanks for taking the time to do this. Dj stone 03:11, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
