Talk:Gregg Popovich
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Greg Popovich several times said that he is Montenegrin, and that is not same as Serb...
-
- Actually, he said that family roots on his father's side go back to Herzegovina and Montenegro. Being Montenegrin and being from Montenegro aren't the same. Additionaly, Pop has been to Serbia for coaching clinics in the last few years and referred to himself as Serbian in interviews.65.94.133.126 19:25, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
This may be a picky point, but the coach of the year award is given out early in the playoffs and has nothing to do with playoff performance. So the statement about Pop receiving this award "after leading the Spurs to another championship" is misleading I think. Also, I have read a fair bit on this guy and I have never seen it mentioned that he has an anger management problem. Where did you get this? This seems to be a bit of a serious statement and I think it should be backed up.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 142.179.54.194 (talk • contribs) .
- I've made the contextual change per your request on the COY award; wordsmith it some more if that is still unclear. I've also removed the anger part; someone can add it back in later with a proper cite if they feel the need. Thanks for your feedback on the article! Kuru talk 04:17, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
How come this page is Catagorized as Croatian-American even though his father is Serbian...shouldn't it be Serbian-American????? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.240.49.219 (talk) 22:29, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Infobox
I added an infobox for Pop, but we need a free image of Gregg. I cant find any on flickr with his name in the tags, but if someone knows of one it would be a great add to the article.Bgautrea (talk) 06:00, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
I added part that he did spy training and considered the CIA as a career - that's an interesting part of his life.Jacksonthor (talk) 20:07, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
