[edit] His defence

His defence, as I recall, was not that he did not act alone,

{"His defence was based on the possibility that there was someone else who committed the crime as a conspirator, rather than Domaszewicz acting alone...")

but rather on the assertion that he didn't do it.

Also, I don't recall there being a lot of forensic evidence.

[edit] Forensic evidence

The forensic evidence was watertight. People have been sent to the firing squad for less than what Domaszewicz had against him. I don't have the time to go through the transcript though. - Richardcavell 08:21, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Barrister Kills Baby

"Domaszewicz's barrister, Colin Lovitt SC, has never denied that he killed Jaidyn Leskie."

Why would Lovitt deny killing Leskie? I think I'll have to reword this. Jimp 04:57, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merge proposal

While I definitely think Pig's head gang needs to be merged here because it has zero external notability and most of it is covered here in the first place, I think a better case is to merge this and Jaidyn Leskie into a new article, Murder of Jaidyn Leskie in order to have the coverage in one place and follow the guideline in WP:BLP1E and WP:ONEEVENT "Cover the event, not the person." I agree with this sensible approach, merge the lot into Murder of Jaidyn Leskie. -- Longhair\talk 22:21, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
I'll leave this discussion open for a bit to see if there are any objections and then I'll create the merge. By way of note I've fixed my link above to the gang TRAVELLINGCARIMy storyTell me yours 23:45, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Okay I'd agree with a merge into the Murder of Jaidyn Leskie, but definitely not Greg Domaszewicz. I woulod like to see seperate articles on Jaidyn Leskie and Daniel Valerio and Cody Hutchings and then for them to be catergorised as "children killed by parents/carers" is this concept supported as well? I would like Pig's head gang to have a seperate entry because they were once implicated in the murder-and greg tried to pin it on them--Read-write-services (talk) 01:58, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
The issue with the separate articles (the latter of which is highly unlikely to pass its AfD) is that they are in violation of WP:ONEEVENT and WP:BLP1E as I mentioned above. The event is supposed to be covered, NOT the person especially since the person is not notable apart from dying (WP:MEMORIAL). The Pig's Head issue is that it's not independently notable. It's inextricably linked to the murder, which is why they all belong in one article, as it's one event. Does that make sense? TRAVELLINGCARIMy storyTell me yours 02:03, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

I disagree, but whatever others think, I suppose like I stated, put it into "murder of...."--Read-write-services (talk) 02:10, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

A similar thing happened with Andrew Garforth, which was eventually merged into Murder of Ebony Simpson. Garforth was actually convicted of Simpson's murder, Domaszewicz wasn't convicted of anything. It that case it made sense to roll all articles into one main article covering the entire event in detail, rather than split it over several smaller articles. -- Longhair\talk 02:13, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Exactly. I'd retian Greg D... and Pig.... as re-directs so if people searched on either, they'd get to the overall article with the information they're looking for. I think it would be a better umbrella article showing the link between all aspects of the case. TRAVELLINGCARIMy storyTell me yours 02:15, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Fair enough-That makes good sense to me, I suppose I might be showing some bias here-because frankly I don't wish GD to get any more publicity, just to think His article would stand while Jaidyn's is merged seems cruel? perhaps? maybe it's just me. Cheers.--Read-write-services (talk) 04:51, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Whoops perhaps I wasn't clear. All three articles, this one, the gang and Jaidyn would be merged into one new article covering the murder. I agree, I don't think murderers should get publicity, (however, nor do I think nn murder victims should be here) so that's why I advocate covering the event and not any of the people TRAVELLINGCARIMy storyTell me yours 05:08, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Cool. I see. I think that we should highlight murdered innocents especially children, some "individuals" need to know that their crimes don't go unnoticed and that their victims (who maybe can't talk)-still have a "voice" here, this is why I am adamant about keeping the memory of Jaidyn Leskie, Cody Hutchings and Daniel Valerio alive. I think it is my aim (personal task)here. maybe it's because I'm a parent...--Read-write-services (talk) 05:23, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
