Most property owners in Greenhorn have small cabins that are only used as summer vacation homes. Those cabins are occupied off and on during summer months sometimes for just a weekend, and at other times for a week or two. Most of the property owners' principle residences are in the Willamette Valley, and City Council meetings are sometimes held in Oregon City. Since 2002 one house has been occupied nearly full time including during the winter. From late November through April or May snow keeps the roads closed to all vehicles except snowmobiles and other over snow vehicles. A few property owners will visit their cabins in the winter using snowmobiles. The Sumpter Snowmobile Club grooms a trail through Greenhorn which is a popular riding area. Cross country skiers rarely make it to Greenhorn in the winter because it is more than seven miles from the nearest plowed road.

This is very interesting, but it needs to backed up with citations to reliable sources. The fact that Greenhorn has "zero population" is pretty interesting and I bet some of this info has been written up in a newspaper or magazine. Katr67 (talk) 19:58, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
