Talk:Greenberg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

hey you seem to have a lot of Greenberg's in your Encyclopedia, but you seem to be missing a very important one. Jack Greenberg, not the Mc donald's CEO you mentioned, was a very important Civil Rights lawyer. He worked with thurgood marshall in the courts during many important cases, such as Brown vs Board. He also defended Martin Luther King Jr in court. i think it is important that you do more research on Jack Greenberg, the civil rights lawyer, and add a section about him to create a more complete encyclopedia.

Good call, thanks. The What-links-here reveals that we have several articles lking to the MacD guy that are intended for the lawyer. Can't fix right now, but i'll do a dab, stub, & bypassing of the dab later this wk.

[edit] Jewish name?

I always think of Greenberg as being a Jewish name. (I just started the article on Irving, BTW.) Do you think it would be proper to mention that in the article? Also, am I right in thinking so? Thanks. Steve Dufour 20:05, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Greenberg is definitely a Jewish name, but I'm not sure if it's exclusively Jewish (I think it comes from Greman). Calgary 05:20, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Greenburg

There are several people named Greenburg who also have Wikipedia articles. SHould they be listed here, or should there be a separate disambiguation page. Calgary 05:20, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
