The Turks were outnumbered by the Greeks. The previous wars made it very diffcult to gather large armies, so stop deleting correct information!

This article is incredebly biased towards Greece. Statements like "This war was the only conflict between Greeks and Turks in the century where Greece was forced to cede land to Turkey" or "Much of the reason for the Greek defeat, however, was mainly due to the Ottoman operational numerical superiority" DO NOT BELONG IN AN ENCYCLOPEDIA! And also the level of pathetism indicates that is writer is at most a 12 year old. PS: it should be completely rewritten (or even deleted) because of its almost total lack of sources or references.86.104.216.79 18:14, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

I deleted the "Much of the reason for the Greek defeat, however, was mainly due to the Ottoman operational numerical superiority" because of lack of reference. Numerical superiority counts for nothing without superior tactics. Rad vsovereign 13:48, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
