[edit] melambrotus

Frig - this is tricky - the melam- is easy as it means 'dark', but theres' brǒtos/βροτος - 'blood' and brōtos/βρωτος - 'meat'.....my money's on the second one but would be nice to get the work which says which it is.....cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 01:10, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] illustration problem

Overall, it's a nice illustration of the bird in flight, but there is one problem: The inner primaries should be slightly darker than the outer primaries and the secondaries (as also mentioned in the text). This might seem like a minor issue, but as it is one of the main features for separating it from the remaining species in the genus, it is a bit more problematic. A photo showing it well can be seen here. Unfortunately, I don't have the skills to modify the illustration, but am posting a comment here, just in case someone who does checks it. Thanks, I will try and fix it over the weekend. Shyamal (talk) 03:38, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
