Talk:Greater Southwest International Airport

[edit] Location
The infobox said the location was Euless, Texas. I have changed this to Fort Worth. Maps show a "finger" extending east from Fort Worth to the site of the old airport; the airport property was thusly annexed. (This is also why AMR/American Airlines has a Fort Worth address, the headquarters sits at this same location.) -- Gyrofrog (talk) 20:13, 16 November 2007 (UTC) Update: the NTSB accident report gives the location as Euless but, again, maps would indicate otherwise. It may have been Euless when Fort Worth annexed the area (I'm not sure when that was), or perhaps it's based on the location's post office, telephone exchange, or some such. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 20:32, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

- I believe your original statement is correct. I was just reading some history on this airport, and Fort Worth definitely annexed the airport. However, land immediately east of the airport was probably part of Euless. - Davandron | Talk 14:51, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, that was my error... when creating that infobox I was trying to figure out where the airport lied and I looked at some maps that had a juxtaposition of Euless, Grapevine, and Irving, so I went with Euless. I wasn't aware Fort Worth had land annexed in that area. Agree with the change. -Rolypolyman (talk) 18:03, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
