Thinking of changing name to Houston Metropolitan Area. Greater Houston, although correct, lacks a certain formality that exists in most reference publications. And, for continuity sake, Wikipedia lists most other metro areas as "City" Metropolitan Area, not Greater "City". Nsaum75 16:08, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Observations

1. The center of Beaumont-Port Arthur is east-northeast of Greater Houston.
2. Beaumont-Port Arthur states this region is in Southeast Texas.
3. Greater Houston states this region is in East Texas.

Therefore, as far as ordinal and cardinal directions are concerned:

  • East is south of southeast.
  • Southeast is north of east.

I now understand why university students cannot use wikipedia for research papers. stonetlee 16:04, 8 Aug 2007 (UTC)

"Among the 10 most populous metro areas"

I didn't read the whole article, but this first line of the "Economy" section stuck out because it wasn't immediately clear whether it is the most populous area globally, nationally or locally. Someone care to check? Narxysus 05:53, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

It's in the reference. I updated the rating also to match the latest reference. Postoak 06:09, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
