I have removed the comment It has been described as the driest place in England, not because of a lack of pubs - of which it has five, but because it has the least rainfall. as it uses weasel words and a google suggests that there are plenty of places in England claiming to be the driest in either England or the UK.--JBellis 13:19, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
