Talk:Great Googly Moogly
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I've searched, but have been unable to find any lyrics for Screamin’ Jay Hawkins to verify his original use, Ditto for Mojo Nixon, or Skid Roper. If anybody has a citation, please update the article. --01:59, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)

The following makes no sense:
Regionally, it has been used by residents of Rhode Island[citation needed] and visitors to Virginia[citation needed].
"visitors to Virginia"? People visit Virginia and start using this phrase? Meaningless.

[edit] Usage In Evolution
The line "Great Googa Mooga" was spoken by Orlando Jones in Evolution. Some web sites have incorrectly cited this as Great Googly Moogly. This is incorrect.

A bunch of us at work would almost swear this phrase was someone's catch phrase on a cartoon, not on Nick Jr. but an older cartoon from the 1970s or 80s. Any ideas?
You guys are right. It was used by Mr. Magoo quite often.

[edit] Transwiki
I removed the transwiki tag. This article has already survived AfD. If somebody feels that, despite the keep consensus that came out of that discussion, this should be removed, starting another discussion and gaining consensus would make sense, not just tagging it for an automated process. -- RoySmith (talk) 18:41, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
