[edit] Non-printable characters

This article contains some non alphabetic characters that should be transliterated into pure alphabetics as best as possible. Wjhonson 04:52, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

that is a problem with almost all articles that are taken from the jewish encyclopedia. The all require a lot of cleanup. Jon513 15:57, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Translation of Kenesset

The word kenesset in "Anshei Kenesset Hagadol" has been translated in many different ways in this article. I believe that the translation "Synagogue" is wrong. In English the word implies a building. Assembly seems to work well; I have also seen synod used. Phil burnstein (talk) 10:52, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
