[edit] When was the musical written ?

It would be a usefull info... (i would like to put the year in the page in the french wikipedia!)

[edit] Changes

I rearranged the article and added links, etc. Any comments welcome, here or at User Talk:Turlington. Turly-burly 10:13, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

==Wrong Snyopsis==gsagfsgadfgds fgrgsaoff the actual musical.

[edit] Correct Synopsis

I have begun writing out the correct synopsis, anyone who has seen the broadway show or has been a member of a production of grease should help out!

I updated the synopsis Lmr5069 19:19, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

By definition, a synopsis is a brief recap of a plot. The one included here was so detailed that reading it made seeing the show unnecessary. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that should include basic pertinent details about its subject matter. The "summary" here went far beyond that. SFTVLGUY2 19:55, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cast

Technically, John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, Stockard Channing and Frankie Avalon have never been in the musical production of Grease, They were only in the film. I think we should remove them. Lmr5069 19:26, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Travolta was in the musical on stage. -- Ssilvers 20:11, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Wouldn't it be better to break the casts down by Original, 1st revival, current revival, and movie version? This looks sloppy compared to most Wiki entries. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.66.9.85 (talk) 05:42, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] "real" high school

Jacobs went to Taft High School. Since he says the story is based on his experiences, Taft might be the "real" Rydell. Kdammers 211.225.32.197 10:41, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Now we're getting somewhere

Still needs a "background" section. -- Ssilvers 20:54, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sandra Dee/Olsson/Dombrowski

Ok. The article currently says "Sandra Dee." This is just flat wrong. Sandy is NOT Sandra Dee - Rizzo makes fun of her for her SIMILARITY to the real life actress Sandra Dee. My brief web search leads me to believe that Sandy Dombrowski is the character in the Broadway version, while Sandy Olsson is the same character with a name change for the movie (possibly because of ON-J's blonde tresses?). I'm changing the name in the article to Sandy Dombrowski. Applejuicefool (talk) 20:50, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] T-Birds/Burger Palace Boys

Ok, another apparent film/stage difference. I've never seen the stage version, but I assume from the summary section that the gang is called the Burger Palace Boys, rather than the T-Birds, in the stage version. I will change it. If you change it back, please post why here. Applejuicefool (talk) 20:54, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

I switched all references in the Characters section from T-Birds to Burger Palace Boys. I would challenge some theater buff to go through this section and pull out all the actors who were in the movie version but not in the stage version. Applejuicefool (talk) 21:00, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Cockfight???

"The Asian tour opened in Macau in October and has booked dates for Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Pusan, Taegu, Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila, Taipei, Hong Kong, Dubai, and various cities in India, and brought back the controversial cockfight scene during the Rydell Fight Song."

WHAT cockfight scene???? —Micahbrwn (talk) 18:08, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Could you tell me if this was appropriate to go ahead with? Or if not, why? Thank You, John A25130177 (talk) 13:46, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

I'm not the editor who deleted the material, but I think that your link and information probably violates item 5 in this guideline:[1], and probably [2]. I cannot advise you on whether to add the material and link again, because there are so many editors on Wikipedia, and I do not speak for them. JeanColumbia (talk) 14:03, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
