Other information It is likely that the copyright on this seal has expired; the GER was grouped into the LNER in 1923, and this seal likely predates it. The current status of the trademark is unclear; if there was one, it would have been handed to the LNER and then to British Rail[ways], which is now defunct. What is clear, is that the trademark and seal is currently in disuse by any of the GER's descendants. The Wikimedia Foundation is at no legal risk from using this seal.
