Grey's Monument is a monument to Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey in Newcastle, England. It is a Doric column 45.5m (133 ft) tall, topped by a statue of Grey. There are 164 steps inside, leading to a small observation deck. The monument was designed by Edward Hodges Bailey and built in 1837. In 1947, the head of the statue was destroyed by lightning; a replacement was created by local artist Roger Hedley.
