Gresham Civic (MAX station)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gresham Civic is an unfurnished and currently-unopened station in the MAX Light Rail system in Gresham. Blue Line trains pass by the concrete platforms located to the sides of the tracks.
The station was built in 1986, to serve (and tie in with) the Gresham Civic Neighborhood development, along with other stations of the Eastside MAX, but has not yet opened. Its arrangement is similar to this of the Cascades station on the Red Line in that it serves a transit-oriented development, and was already built but not yet opened. However, Gresham Civic Station is expected to open soon after the Civic Neighborhood is built-out. Platforms at this station are currently fenced off (as they have since the station was initially built), and trains do not currently stop at this station.
The development around this station was once proposed to be a shopping mall.
