Gregg Harper

Gregg Harper is the prosecuting attorney for the cities of Brandon, Mississippi and Richland, Mississippi [1], and is the Republican nominee for United States House of Representatives in Mississippi's 3rd congressional district to succeed retiring Congreessman Chip Pickering.

Harper is the former Chairman of the Rankin County, Mississippi Republican Party, and served as a delegate to the 2000 Republican National Convention.

Harper graduated from Mississippi College in 1978 with a degree in Chemistry and from the University of Mississippi Law School in 1981.

Gregg Harper won the Republican nomination in Mississippi's 3rd congressional district on April 1, 2008 with 57% of the vote [2] His Democratic opponent for the special election is Joel Gill.
