Gregg Doyel is a national writer for CBSSports.com and a radio host on WCKY (AM). In addition to writing provocative articles, he is well known for his "Hate Mail" in which he responds to angry fans every Thursday. Before becoming a National Columnist, Gregg Doyel was the editor of the college basketball page on Sportsline.com. He has written two books. They are entitled Kentucky Wildcats: Where have you gone? and Coach K: Building the Duke Dynasty. Before working at Sportsline.com, he was a Marlins beat writer at the Miami Herald and an ACC Basketball writer with the Charlotte Observer. On May 21, 2007, it was announced that Gregg Doyel would host a radio program on Cincinnati's WCKY (AM) in the 9AM-Noon time slot with Mo Egger. [1] He hosted the WCKY (AM) show until he was fired on December 13, 2007 in a budget cut.[2] Doyel also briefly co-hosted WLW’s "Sunday Morning SportsTalk" with Ken Broo, but voluntarily left the show because he was traveling too much for CBSSports.com.

Every Thursday, Gregg Doyel publishes Hate Mail, a compilation of angry letters he received over the past week and his responses to those letters. The letters discuss a variety of topics and certain names have become well known for their frequent appearances.

Gregg Doyel was born in Hawaii. He grew up in Mississippi where his father was a law professor at the University of Mississippi. Doyel attended high school in Georgia and attended college at the University of Florida, where he was a sports writer for the Independent Florida Alligator.
