[edit] 2005

Winter's involvement in tournaments remained minimal throughout the year, cashing in just one tournament and collecting minimal prize money. He entered and finished 10th in the £100 No Limit Hold'em South of England Poker Festival, Southampton. This saw him collect $547 out of 61 entrants.

As of 2005, his total live tournament winnings exceed $20,000.

Compared to this his cash game winnings in 2005 alone are rumoured to be in the region of close to $250 000 and it is in this vein of poker that the Axxeman makes his living.

[edit] 2006

With cash games and TV work taking up more of his time, Winters didn't play in any ranking tournaments throughout 2006.

[edit] 2007

In March, Winters became the resident professional on the EatMyStack.com poker website and forum. He subsequently left to pursue other opportunities.

[edit] Television career

Made a short video entitled Poker School for Get Minted in the Summer of 2004. Was filmed in London's Red Bar with Sean Boyce, from At The Races, taking the presenter's role and the Axxeman as the expert. Was shown exclusively on Sky 235 - Get Lucky TV - for 14 months from October 2004. Featured as much as seven times per day at its peak.

The Axxeman was one of the original presenters of PokerZone's Poker Night Live, which launched in February 2005. However, he left the show in the summer of that year in controversial circumstances.

In November 2006 he began presenting a new show, Get Minted Poker Live on the At The Races channel. Despite quickly gaining cult status among the viewers, sponsors Get Minted ended their backing in early February 2007 leaving many regular viewers up in arms. Although no official reason was ever given for the sudden end to the show, Minted have made no secret of the fact that they view online Bingo as a bigger growth area with poker undergoing a stagnation following the USA online gaming clampdown.
