Greg Tansey (born 1988-11-21 in Huyton) is an English professional footballer who plays for Stockport County as a central midfielder.

Tansey progressed through the Centre of Excellence youth system at Stockport County[1] and made his senior debut against Macclesfield Town in the Johnstones' Paint Trophy in October 2006.[2] He made five appearances for Stockport County in the 2006-07 season and signed a new two-year deal in summer 2007.[3] He made a further 16 appearances for Stockport in the 2007-08 season before joining Conference National club Altrincham in March 2008,[4] where he played five games.[5]
