Greg Olsen (born 1958 in Shelley, Idaho) is one of the most prolific Latter-day Saint artistis of the late-20th and early-21st century. Olsen's paintings are in at least 20 temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). Many major corporations have his work. Even The Pentagon has one of his paintings.[1] A search of the lds.org site leads to 100 links, mainly to the illustration credits where Greg Olsen paintings have been used in church periodicals.[original research?] Sometimes multiple paintings by him appear with one article.[2]
Olsen grew up in Iona, Idaho.[3]. He studied at the Utah State University.
Most of his pictures are of Jesus Christ. He also has painted pictures based on the Book of Mormon, Latter-day Saint history, and ones reminiscent of childhood.[4]
Greg Olsen married Sydnie Cazier. They have six children.[5]
