He started out as a replacement for head coach Ryan Monahan for one summer class, but was quickly hired to fill in the novice boy's coach. After a somewhat successful year as novice coach, he was hired to be the assistant junior boy's coach and a master's coach. Between the fall season of 2007 and the spring season of 2008, head coach Ryan Monahan stepped down from his role of Head Coach and Boathouse Manager. Greg King took over these positions and now coaches the Varsity boats.
