Gregory Alan "Greg" Hancock (born June 3, 1970 in Whittier, California, USA)[1] is an American motorcycle speedway rider. He is a former Speedway World Champion and a multiple World Team Champion with USA, with whom he is currently captain.

Hancock's first championship on a world stage came in 1992 when he won both the Speedway World Pairs Championship with Sam Ermolenko and Ronnie Correy. He was also a member of the USA speedway team that won the Speedway World Team Cup the same year and again in 1993.[2]

He won the World Championship in 1997. He was third in the final standings in 2004 and in 2006 he finished second in the Grand Prix series to Jason Crump.

Hancock is the only rider to have appeared in every Grand Prix round since its creation in 1995.
