Greg Fitzsimmons

Greg Fitzsimmons (April 05, 1966) is an American stand-up comedian, writer and television producer. He appeared numerous times on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. In 1996, Greg hosted the MTV game show Idiot Savants. He is also a regular commentator on Vh1's Best Week Ever and I Love The series. From 2003 to 2005, he was one of the writers and producers of The Ellen DeGeneres Show for which he won four Daytime Emmys. He went on to write for Louis C.K.'s sitcom Lucky Louie. He is a frequent guest on The Howard Stern Show on Sirius Satellite Radio, Howard 100, and has hosted his own show on Howard 101. Ironically, his father was the late New York City radio personality Bob Fitzsimmons who had been ridiculed by Stern during his career. He also frequently performs stand-up comedy with Stern sidekick Artie Lange who considers him, along with Nick DiPaolo and Dave Attell, to be one of today's best comedians. Lange has considered leaving the show, due to his health and personal problems and Fitzsimmons is frequently named as a potential successor. Fitzsimmons' wife Erin is the daughter of author and academic Joel Kovel.
