[edit] Biography
Formed in the late summer of 2007, Man Oh Man!! first started out as a mathcore band with slight rock influence. The 5 track debut EP was recorded on September 30, 2007 at Mayhemness Studio and it fell under the name of Swayze Crayze. After recording Swayze Crayze, Man Oh Man!! stayed in the shallows tightening up the sound and writing new material. When late November/ early December hit, that was when they parted ways with bassist Cory Engstrom and replaced him with Fortino Tafoya. No shows had been played yet, due to the primarily Christian venues in Sacramento. Man Oh Man!! material was a little eccentric for the Christian venues, having no boundaries talking about religion, sex, politics, and other touchy subjects. During the time when Fortino was getting acclimated to the band, they continued to write for their next EP. The second EP, Double Deuce Ex Machina, was recorded February 24, 2008 once again at Mayhemness Studio. As continued from the debut EP, they use a theme of making Patrick Swayze references. The second EP is a mixture of the Latin phrase Deus Ex Machina and the bar Double Deuce, from Swayze's Roadhouse.
