Greenmount West, Baltimore

Greenmount is a neighborhood in the eastern part of Baltimore, Maryland located below North Avenue along Greenmount Avenue. The neighborhood contains portions of the Baltimore City Correctional Facilities and its residents are mostly low income African-American families. The neighborhood has suffered from extensive urban decay and housing abandonment. The neighborhood was the Baltimore home of the now deceased rapper Tupac Shakur.
