Greenergy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Greenergy is a company formed in 1992 for the purpose of supplying fuels with a lower environmental impact. The company has over 10% of the UK road fuels market and specialises in biofuels.
It is 25% owned by Tesco who are also a major customer. All their blends have included 5% bioethanol since 2005 [1], a renewable but also high-octane component (octane quoted as 135) which provides lower emissions of greenhouse gas and carbon dioxide. [2]
Greenergy also supplies high percentage biodiesel blends for fleet use and supplies Tesco 99 Octane as the control fuel to the British Rally Championship
