Greendykes is a suburb of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. It is a fairly large council scheme, which consists mostly of low-rise flats but also houses two 14 storey tower blocks (Greendykes House and Wauchope House). It is sometimes considered to be part of Craigmillar, areas such as Niddrie and Newcraighall are also situated nearby. The area is going through a massive regeneration programme and all low-rise housing is to be demolished.
