Greenbank Sports Academy

The Greenbank Sports Academy is a sports and leisure facility for disabled people, located in the Sefton Park area of Liverpool, England. As well as offering opportunities for disabled people, it also offers an inclusive environment whereby all ranges of abilities and disabilities can take advantage of the wide variety of facilities that are available for public use.

It has a 500-seat sports hall which is used as the home venue for the Everton Tigers professional basketball team, who joined the elite British Basketball League in 2007.

The Greenbank Sports Academy is a non-profit making organisation and part of the Greenbank Project. The Greenbank Project is registered charity number 513814. The organisation has been established since 1983 to ‘enhance the opportunities and status of people with disabilities through education, training, sport and recreation’.

BY ROAD: From the end of the M62 (Junction 4) take the extreme left hand lane (before the flyover) that joins the A5058 (Queens Drive). Continue straight on at the lights to a roundabout. Take the 3rd exit and continue to a set of lights – straight on. Move to the right hand lane (marked Queens Drive and City Centre) before another roundabout and travel straight on (2nd lane from the left) through the lights (road marked Queens Drive). Continue through a set of pedestrian lights, under a railway bridge to another set of lights. Turn right into Mossley Hill Road (North), which becomes Greenbank Road. Continue straight on, passing Penny Lane to the right. Greenbank Lane follows shortly on the left hand side. The entrance to Greenbank Sports Academy is situated about 400m further on the left.
