Green Garden Township is located between the villages of Manhattan and Monee and straight south of Frankfort. The center of the township is the intersection of Manhattan-Monee and Center roads. From the center, the township extends three miles in each direction; north, west, south, and east, for a total of 36 square miles. The population was 2,556 at the 2000 census. Green Garden Township was formed from the eastern half of Trenton Township at an unknown date.

The only school is Green Garden Elementary School it houses K - 4th grades. Green Garden is a part of Peotone Community School District 207 - U.

Green Garden Township is in Will County, Illinois. It has major roads like Route 45, Center Rd., Manhattan-Monee Rd., and Harlem Ave.
