Greatstone-on-Sea is a village near New Romney in Kent, England. As early as the 1920s, permission was granted for extensive development, and a contracting company won the right to construct large numbers of new homes and facilities at Greatstone; in the end, however, only a small proportion of these proposed new homes were built. Later, in the 1960s and 1970s there was more widespread development, leading to a sizeable community of modern housing, including a large proportion of bungalows.
