The Greatest Hits album by Martina McBride contained 13 hits including "Independence Day," and "I Love You." It also contained the song "Strangers," which Martina decided to put onto the album despite it never being a single; she felt that given the chance, it would have been a hit, and that over the years, it had become a fan favorite. It has been certified triple platinum and as of March 2007 the album has sold 2.9 million copies in the United States according to Nielsen SoundScan becoming her best selling album to date. The album also spawned four new hits, "When God-Fearin' Women Get The Blues," "Where Would You Be," "Concrete Angel," and "Blessed." The album peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200, her highest ranking peak position on the chart at the time. It also became her first album to hit #1 on the country albums chart.
