Greater Metropolitan Area of Aveiro

The Greater Metropolitan Area of Aveiro (Portuguese: Grande Área Metropolitana de Aveiro) in Portugal consists of 13 municipalities that makes the fourth most populous metropolitan area in the country. They spread over two subregions: Baixo Vouga (population: 364,975) and Entre Douro e Vouga (95,520). The total population is 460,495 of which 73,335 live in the largest municipality Aveiro. Oliveira de Azeméis e Vale de Cambra will soon make the transition to the Greater Metropolitan Area of Porto.
