The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts (known formerly as The Greater Hartford Academy of the Performing Arts or GHAPA) is an integrated magnet arts high school in Hartford, Connecticut. It is one of four schools located on the 16 acre campus of The Learning Corridor.
"The Academy" is open through audition to high school students in the Greater Hartford area. The Capital Region Education Council (CREC) has managed the school since it was established in 1985.

"The Academy" was founded as a desegregation magnet school, and strives to maintain a student body that is balanced in terms of race and socioeconomic status.

Students are selected to attend the school based on audition, interview, and many other criteria. The school is open to students that can enroll for a half-a-day school or go to the school for a full day, which includes taking all the English, Science, Math, Social Studies, and World language classes in the school as well. The very first graduating class of the Full Day Program will be in 2011. For the 2008 - 2009 school year, the Full Day Program will be taking 120 new incoming freshmen.
Since 2001 "the Academy" has been located at The Learning Corridor, a 16 acre campus adjacent to Trinity College. Formerly, "the Academy" was housed in a former funeral parlor, with an annex that was a former bar. "The Academy" offers a curriculum in seven concentrations; Musical Theater, Tech. Theater, Drama, Dance, Music (both Vocal and Instrumental), Visual Arts, and Creative Writing.
