The Greater Columbus-Auburn-Opelika area is a region in central western Georgia and eastern Alabama with an estimated 2005 census population of 348,148 which includes all of Columbus, Geirgia, Auburn, Alabama, Opelika, Alabama, Chattahoochee, Harris, Marion, and Muscogee counties, Georgia, and Russell County, Alabama, Lee County, Alabama and Macon County, Alabama.
