Great Yarmouth Town F.C. is a football club based in Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, England. The club was established in 1897 and was among the founder members of the Eastern Counties Football League in 1935. The team have reached the 2nd round of the FA Cup at least twice in their history. They are currently playing in the Eastern Counties Football League Division One.
Nicknamed "The Bloaters", they currently play at the Wellesley Recreation Ground, which is owned by the local council. They play in an amber & black striped jersey, black shorts and amber stockings. The old grandstand at the Wellesley Recreation Ground (also known as "The Well") is the world's oldest football stand in regular use, having been opened on 11 June 1892. [1]
In 2006 Great Yarmouth Town's youth team reached the 2nd round of the FA Youth Cup.
