Great Yarmouth VA High School is an English coeducational comprehensive school in the town of Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, accepting around 800 students aged from 12 to 16.
The former Great Yarmouth Grammar School, which was founded in 1551, became the comprehensive Great Yarmouth High School in September 1981. In 1998 the school was awarded Technology Specialist College Status and in 1999 was designated V.A (Christian non-denominational) reflecting the terms of its Foundation. It is under the jurisdiction of Norfolk LEA.[1]
Both the school and the town share the same shield. The school colours are black and red.
The High Standard is the school newspaper which is produced two times a year, around May and November.
