The Great Lakes Business Company is an airline owner/operator in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

They are on the List of air carriers banned in the European Union as well as a UN list of businesses targeted by sanctions in regard of the transport of arms and ammunition.[1][2] The company is owned by Douglas Mpamo, according to the UN.[2]

The UN report lists a Boeing 727, an An-12, three An-32 and a Let-410 abong GLBC's aircraft they found in Goma.[2]

August 26, 2007 - In Kongolo, DRC 13 of 15 aboard die, including three Russian crew when an overloaded Antonov An-32 (reg 9Q-CAC) owned by Agefreco Air and operated by Great Lakes Business Company crashes while flying tin ore. The license of the company was suspended August 29, 2007, along with the airport manager and the Kinshasa director of civil aviation, pending an inquiry.[1][3] The tin trade became lucrative and violent when the use of lead solder was phased out of electronics for environmental reasons.
