Great Eastern Shipping

Great Eastern Shipping is a large Indian shipping company which transports gas, petroleum and other products. As of 2007 it had some 944 employees.[1]. It was listed on the BSE Sensex index from 1986-1998. [2]

The company had provided offshore support for oil exploration and drilling since 1983; in 2006 this part of its operations was split off into a separate company, Great Offshore Limited. [3]
