Great Alne is a small village, known as Round Alne in the Middle Ages. It is situated seven miles north-west of Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire and two miles north-east of Alcester, on the road to Wootton Wawen. In the 2001 census, the population of the parish was 587.
