This is well deserved - thank you very much for all your photos. Don't worry about the Oak Flats one - if someone goes down that way sometime they can get a replacement, but at least we have photos for all stations from Goulburn to Bowral and Nowra to Albion Park. Anyhow, I plan to do more but I figure, also, that an article at this level is good enough to be useful. I will do one on Flora Eldershaw as well but probably a less researched one. Hi there Grahame and thanks for your help in tweaking these articles. I was a bit rushed for time yesterday to make the DYK deadline for Lawry so I didn't get round to filling in the ref info. Anyway, I was thinking of putting Neil Harvey to GAC, but it is a bit backlogged since I had a lot of stuff I prepared during my last wikibreak and am in the process of processing and polishing them onto the the Wikipedia (User:Blnguyen/Cricket organising) and also Bill Johnston (cricketer) is up there at the moment and I need to fix some things on that one too. Thanks for fixing up a couple of my Flora Eldershaw typos. I must be more careful. While I've got you, can you explain the DEFAULT SORT business which I see you also added. It looks to me that if you do that then you don't have to tediously add the name to all the categories? I've been looking at page after page and see such variety in how this is done. Thanks for all that info - makes it much easier to go that way. I presume that Default sort thing works for say, book and film title articles as well? Studying under Humphrey McQueen must have been exciting. In 1973 I read his 'A new Britannia' for a sociology course but to have studied with him would have been interesting. Me, now I was so uninterested at the time in Aussie literature (it was English all the way with me, pretty much) that I missed the opportunity of being tutored by Thea Astley. I love her now and kick myself every day. I did see her walking the corridors though. Does that count? And you studied with Drusilla Modjeska? Now, she's an interesting woman. For the record, given the comments which Grahamec has made about the article I have written, I point out:

1. In 2004, the New South Wales Treasurer and Minister for State Development, the Hon. Michael Egan, stated that Overs' piano technology "is rapidly establishing Overs Pianos as a world leader in piano design". (New South Wales Hansard Page 9269); and

2. I have no commercial or personal connection with Overs pianos.

In addition, I asked Grahamec to let me know his qualifications in the field of pianos which allowed him to assess the notability of the article. Grahamec declined to do so.

One very big favour - only if you so feel inclined - is the red discussion tabs when you are into the category pages - if you could do what i just did with grey - that is the WP Australia politics=yes class=cat - it would be very helpful if you are crawling through those beasts bowels - so to speak - I dont have the time that I used to have - only brief irregular visits - and when i see the red dicussion tags i see the same colour - someone has been lazy enough to create a page and not even tie it into a project - no big deal if you dont want to - but if you can it helps SatuSuro 02:26, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

FWIW, though, the info you cited as a electricscotland.com copyviolation was actually sourced from http://gutenberg.net.au/dictbiog/0-dict-biogBr-By.html, and http://www.adb.online.anu.edu.au/biogs/A070495b.html, amongst other sites which list newspaper biographies/obituaries. You made the page tidier, and it's no big deal but, in case this comes up again, thought I'd let you know. Thanks for tidying that up. He was one of my long-ago stubs related to the progression of Sydney Riot of 1879 to FA status (now delisted) and I'd eroneously decided he had a son of the same name. Obvously I'd got mixed up as it was his father I'd read about. Its strange as I recall back then I could find out almost nothing about the man. Quite insane of me really! The problem is, that I'm having to work on all these of different projects simultaneously! I wish I had realised!
And while I'm doing it, I get polite messages saying "please support the cause of the downtrodden in Brazil" and there is a mad vandal repeatedly attcking Stained glass in order to link to his stupid commercial website. Not to mention kid, dog, washing, dinner, and the budgie who is sulking and won't even look at me and people demanding I send them money. I thought the internet was about having fun! Oh well! Maybe I should just chuck it all in and go and review movies at IMBd. One can be rude, illiterate and an unqualified bore! I once made the mistake of saying that "The return of the King" was poorly acted.... I reeeally felt as if I was going to be torn apart by whatever those wolfish things are. There are WP:MOS concerns, particularly in relation to references, which should use Wikipedia:Citation templates. References used several times should also use ref names (ie <ref name=fred>{{cite web|etc}}</ref>, although where you use the same reference several times in the same paragraph (as in Brief Overview), you only need to put one reference at the end of the para. You should also put refs after full stops or other punctuation, not before.--Grahamec 10:41, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

Grahamec, I have seen that you have supplied many photos of railway stations in the Sydney and surrounding area and was wondering whether you could do a favour for me. I am thinking about taking photos of some stations in my area over the next couple of weeks but dont know the first thing about uploading photos. Would it be OK if i sent you maybe 2 or 3 pics of stations and then you can upload the best one. Is that possible? Are you mighty busy now? As for the flea in my ear, this nasty petty person will not give themselves an ID and so has no page on which to reply. He/She used to have a user name, but doesn't sign in any more, and previously used to delete any comment they didn't like. They appear to want to consider Poland to be a major region of Romanesque architecture and have made a long list of every fragment, on the List of Romanesque architecture page, presumably not realising that if someone were to include every church in England that has some significant Romanesque remains, there would be hundreds of them, and in Italy, thousands, while France is dotted with Romanesque churches, and only the finest have been mentioned. This person has a particular antipathy to Germany and has obviously attended a lecture about "purist" reconstruction, annd so feels justified in inserting negative comments about everything German. I have looked into the issues he/she raised, naturally. Calling someone who had a family member die at Auschwitz, by the name of Hitler, is really pushing the friendship.

Grahamec, much appreciated your help with the copy-tidying and categories. I'm still working to improve the page and try to make it as neutral as possible. It's now supported by the Arts and Entertainment workgroup, and passed start class in quality, but I'm open to any suggestions that improve it. Still trying to work out the intricacies of layout and how to put the images in better, specifically the last one. I'm also about to check for more source material, though it's hard to find internet reference to the Australian comic fan press reaction cited twenty-five years on. I removed a link earlier today because it didn't seem to be acceptable under wikipedia guidelines. Your edits on this page were quite welcome. Any other suggestions you make will be of benefit. Why have you been tagging the talk pages of articles on electorates in the NT in the WP Australia Project as "list"? They are not lists. They should all be "class=start" unless some are stubs. I have changed the two that were on my watchlist, but I see from your contributions that there are many more. Please change them all to "class=start". --Bduke (talk) 22:35, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Of course I do not own them, but they are certainly not lists. They are articles about an electorate for the NT Legislative Assembly and because of that they contain a list of members. That does not make them a list. Lists almost always (if not always) have titles like "List of ...". These articles could develop to become featured articles and hence have to start as class=start. I have to agree with Bduke here. While your ratings of the electoral results articles as lists are certainly correct, the articles on electorates are most certainly not. At the moment, many of these articles have lists of members that outsize the main text of the article, but this is because most of these articles are stubs. Do you know how to format a nav box, i.e. the nav box in an article will not be collapsed always, the nav box will be always fully displayed. I am trying to format the Template:Bridges in Slovenia for the article Dragon Bridge, so that the nav box is always displayed fully, not condensed, but the format is not working. Thanks for adding the Clubs category tag to the Austral Society. I hadn't yet researched exactly what tag was appropriate. I am looking to add more info on 'Austral Halls around Australia' - but am still researching as I can find very few web references, except to a few scattered mentions of events in a few such halls. I personally remember using the one in Bundaberg, but it was later demolished to form a car yard - as many such halls were! I still don't know for sure if every Austral Hall was built by/for the Austral Society, or even if such a list is easily accessible. I may have to do the basic hard footslog and visit the various historical archives in Toowoomba, next time I am up that way for a while. Any hints/tips will be appreciated.
