Hi, my name is Graeme McRae. In my short time here, I'm amazed by how much I've learned — not just facts, from reading Wikipedia articles, but also matters of style, cooperation, and different points of view. And I've learned there's no shortage of work to do, if that strikes your fancy. And, for me, it does. I used to get annoyed at websites with minor errors. Sometimes I would send an email to the owner of the website, asking for a correction, but more often I would just let it go. But I was still annoyed. With the Wiki projects, I can just fix it on the spot. I love that! But I've tried to start slow: make a change, and then sit back and see if it gets reverted. Sometimes my idea of a mistake is another person's idea of exactly the way it should be. And that's OK. When I make a change, I explain it. When someone reverts my change, they explain their thinking. If I feel I still have a point worth pressing, I'll dash off a note to that other user's talk page, and we'll continue the conversation from there. This is how I've learned so much about style and cooperation. (My contributions) (My Edit Count Stats)
In addition to my work here on Wikipedia and the other Wiki sites, I have a personal webpage that I use kind of as a blog, for ranting about (or appreciating) various things, and a math page that I use for describing some very cool things about math, in a way that might help people understand them.
If you would like to leave me a message, edit my User Talk page, and put your comment at the bottom. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
