Chubbles, how about this compromise:
"Talk It Over", a song written by Sandy Linzer and Irwin Levine that Hugh arranged, reached the Top 20. In an interesting twist, after Hugh arranged and had recorded this song, Olivia Newton-John was given rights of first release and promptly recorded and released it as "Can't We Talk It Over In Bed, which fizzled. Hugh subsequently released his version which became a hit. Katsmeowie (talk) 18:10, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- Slight reword:

- less ambiguous reword:
"Talk It Over", a song written by Sandy Linzer and Irwin Levine that Hugh arranged, reached the Top 20. After Hugh had arranged and recorded this song, Olivia Newton-John was given rights of first release, then recorded it herself and released it as a single under the name "Can't We Talk It Over In Bed". Hugh subsequently released his version which became a hit.
It almost sounded like ONJ released Hugh's recording. I think this makes it more clear who recorded it first, and whose recorded version became the Top 20 hit. Katsmeowie (talk) 19:24, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
