This is so cool. I spent a couple of hours? trying to do links properly in order to add to the oft-repeated example of "pork" regarding Ketchikan's 'bridge to nowhere, the factoid that the proposed bridge would at least provide access to the airport which is currently served by ferry. Then, within an hour's time, someone else added the frequency and duration of the ferry trips.  :) Dus7 21:14, 18 September 2005 (UTC)

It should be expanded upon, noting that Alaska, by its remote location, must have much of its supplies from luxury items to basic daily sustenance flown in during winter, if not year round. Never mind the very idea of going down in a ferry in the winter months in that part of the world is a quick death sentance. The insinuation that only 50 people will benefit from this bridge is ridiculous. Perspective is in order here, as 8,000 people IS a metropolis in Alaska. 63.199.247.39 07:19, 6 October 2005 (UTC)

If it is publicly known it would be interesting to know who owns the land on Gravina Island! --193.118.251.61 11:31, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
