The name for this unit is so overwhelmingly "gal" rather than galileo that Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, Eleventh Edition]] has neither an entry under "galileo" with this meaning, nor a mention of an alternative name under the "gal" entry. Gene Nygaard 13:23, 3 October 2005 (UTC)
