Your text may be a useful update. But in makes no sense in english. If you wish to add it, please improve the grammar first ;)

"In the 16th century, a major road running across the Gangetic plain was built afresh by Sher Shah Suri, who then ruled much of northern India and Built rohtas in Jhelum which was Provice at that time."

was reverted to

[edit] NH-2 and Grand Trunk Road are not same

Between Delhi and Etawah, NH-2 and Grand Trunk road are not same, Grand Trunk road passes through Aligarh and I think it meets NH-2 at Shikohabad where as NH-2 goes through Palwal, Mathura, Agra, Tundla, Firozabad, Shikohabad, Etawah, Kanpur etc.

Can this be confimed and the correct data is reflected in the 'Route' section. Vjdchauhan 14:29, 18 December 2006 (UTC).

[edit] Route

I re-combined the separate national sub-headings ('Bangladesh', 'India' and 'Pakistan') under Route into one section. If in due course the route is described more fully, three or more sub-sections might be justified. But not yet. Earthlyreason 14:56, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
