    1. Development information (the "cuts and changes" section has been merged into this section). Scraped
    2. Reviews.
    3. Game engine. Completed
    4. Information on pre-release hype (specifically, the use of the Liberty Tree newspaper website). Completed
  2. The current article's file size is 48 kilobytes.

Tasks:

  1. Citing unsourced info; remove those that can't be verified. Currently, the "Gameplay," "Market performance and reception," "Ports and remakes," "Market performance and reception," and "Controversy" sections are in need of this task.
  2. Consider possibility of including additional images/replacing images. Images taken during missions and cut scenes are preferable.
  3. Expand info on development (not much to find about it), game engine, logo design (font, use of Roman numeral), and reception.
  4. The gameplay section is particularly far too large at this point; consider removing redundant information already mentioned in Grand Theft Auto and Grand Theft Auto 2 articles.
  5. Peer review cites the possibly confusing flow of information in the gameplay section. Requires additional revisions.
  6. Inspect Legacy section to verify if it "reads like an advertisement," and revise the section. Removed.

[edit] Maurice is a Reference to Joker

I think that the "Love Doctor" Maurice from Chatterbox is a reference to the Steve Miller band song Joker. I was listening to it and it sounded as the good doctor was built up around this character. I was just wondering what anyone else thought. --Bass Masta 05:55, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

I can't be too sure, but as far as I can remember, isn't there a sign saying 'Please do not walk on the grass' during the many images shown when GTAIII is loading (PS2 version)?

The lawyer of the victims, Jack Thompson, who has a vagina, denied that and is attempting to move the lawsuit into a state court and under Tennessee's consumer protection act.

Don't know about Body Harvest, but Urban Chaos on the PS1 always struck me as being very similar to GTA III (limitations of the PS1 compared to PS2 not withstanding). Optimus Sledge 00:07, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ports dates

The article states: "Two years following the initial PlayStation 2 release of Grand Theft Auto III, versions for the Microsoft Windows and Xbox had been made available." But there is only a gap of 7 months (8 max.) between the PS2 and the Windows version. I think that that sentence is at least confusing and should be rewritten, I would do it myself but my English is no good ;_;

I recall there being little to no delay. In fact I'm not certain the PC version wasn't released FIRST.
