[edit] Major Cleanup

This article reads like a Strategy guide so I'm cleaning it up. Please help contribute and clean up anything that obviously doesn't belong here. All existing trivia in the article will be intergrated into the article and any other trivia that is added will be removed without further notice. Also a note to anyone wondering where their edits might have gone: If your edit is reverted then it is probably because it was written in a style that reads like a strategy guide, and there have been a LOT of those sorts of edits to this article recently. - .:Alex:. 16:54, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Introduction

OK, I think the first thing that needs to be changed is the portion of the introduction that states that GTA:VCS is the "latest installment" in the GTA series. Obviously, this is already a defunct statement with the release of GTA IV, and I think any statement like this should be avoided at all costs, since we are talking about a series of games that is ever-expanding. Besides, Alex said it best: it reads like a strategy guide or a fansite. I'm going to work on re-wording the introduction. Eganio 20:28, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

There is currently no change necessary to the introduction, as since GTA IV has not yet been released, it is not yet the latest installment, and GTA:VCS is. Adg2k7 (talk) 00:28, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] "This article may contain excessive or improper use of copyrighted images and/or audio files."

IP address 81.79.80.239 added the "This article may contain excessive or improper use of copyrighted images and/or audio files." template but gives no reason to why he or she added it on the talk page. From what I can see, all the images have fair use notes and all of the images have something to do with the game. Should we remove this? Gamerzworld (talk) 00:36, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:072406111853 vcsboxart.jpg

Image:072406111853 vcsboxart.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
