just wondered why a little know, minor, short lived, and really rather poor studio tour has its own article. surely this article is due for deletion?Daveegan06 19:27, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Why do you think it needs deletion? The Granada Studios Tour lasted from 1998 till 1999 and was a major part of Manchester's tourist and media attractions. It remains a topic of discussion and, despite its closure, continues to attract questions as to whether it is still open, or whether tours are still available.

Is there a drive now to limit the number of articles Wikipedia should carry, or does your opinion carry such weight that we should all sit up and listen? The article should stay. Hardylane 03:08, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Based on his previous "contributions", I think it's safe to say that we can take Daveegan06's opinions with a pinch of salt. The JPStalk to me 10:42, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Dear hardylane, please calm down!! All i was saying wast that in my opinion it needs deleting,i wasnt saying i was right.Just asking for opinions. You dont think it should be deleted, thats your opinion, doesnt mean that is more relevant than mine. Its called a discussion page for this reason. Obviously you think that your opinion carrys such weight and if you say it stays thats it! If i get a concensus i will apply for this page to be deleted, if not i will agree with the majority. Will you do the same. Thanks for replying anyway, hope we will agree to differ? Dear JPS, why are you continually attacking me? Im following all the rules and being polite to everyone. I dont understand why you have this superior attitude, your views are no more important than mine or anyone elses. Just because i have alife away from here doesnt make you more important! Please can you drop it know. I was just starting a discussion.Daveegan06 18:59, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

"Now" doesn't contain a 'K'. Be civil. Stop trolling. Stop being uncivil on talk pages. As for this article, Wikipedia is not a guide. Just because it is closed doesn't automatically mean the article should be deleted. The JPStalk to me 20:13, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Im not the one being abusive and rude, you are trolling. Im being polite and discussing things. Your following me around and abusing me, get over it. I have reported this aggresive abuse. Daveegan06 10:13, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Although now defunct, the Tour was "notable" in its own time, from 1988 to 1999, and therefore qualifies for a Wiki page under that name, although now obviously retrospective. Just because something isn't in the 'here-and-now' doesn't mean it should be barred from having a dedicated article. Refsworldlee(chew-fat) 14:39, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Alien ride

I forget its name, but there was an indoor ride through an alien spaceship. This wasn't the MotionMaster Aliens ride noted in the article, but one with vehicles on a track. I think it was in service during the latter years of the Studios' existence. Does anyone else remember it? 81.96.244.255 (talk) 19:44, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Yes it was fairly rubbish... a long slow ride through a ruined "spaceship", building up your hopes and then a rather silly rubber monster behind a distortion screen, which probably scared kiddies but that's all. Probably one of the most pointless and off-topic installations as the site. If they had concentrated on Granada or ITV history they could have been onto something, but they tried to turn it into a fairground theme park, and that WASN'T the reason people went to the Tours.
