Talk:Grampians
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
If someone has enuf info to break out 'Grampian' articles from Grampians National Park for the mountains and/or region in Australia, it would probably be a good thing--I couldn't find enuf to make coherent separate articles, so I linked all Aussie uses to the park. [edit] Renaming proposals
I propose the following name alterations (page moves), which should not be controversial:
- Move Grampian Mountains (Scotland) to Grampian Mountains
- Move Grampian Mountains (now a disambig page) to Grampians (which becomes the new disambig page)
Rationale: Presently there are about 50 articles which try to link to "Grampian Mountains", all of which are referring to the Scottish range. These all end up on the present disambig page. Furthermore, the Grampian Mountains in Scotland are the most frequent use on Wikipedia or world geographic literature in general. Hatnotes on each of the substantive articles will further be produced. Hadrianheugh 18:58, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
